The Personal Data Protection Act 2010 is an Act that is passed by the Malaysian government to regulate the processing of personal data in a commercial transaction.
Collection of Personal Data: MY MENANG MARKETING may collect, use, disclose, and process participants’ personal data provided through online forms, via email and/or WhatsApp, for the purposes of administering and managing the contest/promotion, including but not limited to participant registration, communication, and prize allocation.
Types of Personal Data Collected: The types of personal data collected may include, but are not limited to, participants’ names, NRIC numbers, contact details (e.g., email address, phone number), and any other information necessary for contest/promotion administration.
Purpose of Collection: The personal data collected will be used solely for the purposes of conducting the contest/promotion, communicating with participants, verifying eligibility, and awarding prizes.
Disclosure of Personal Data: Personal data collected may be disclosed to third-party service providers solely for the purposes of contest/promotion administration and prizes fulfilment.
Data Security: MY MENANG MARKETING implements reasonable security measures to protect participants’ personal data against unauthorised access, disclosure, or misuse.
Retention of Personal Data: Personal data collected will be retained for as long as necessary to fulfil the purposes for which it was collected or as required by law.
Access and Correction: Participants have the right to request access to and correction of their personal data held by MY MENANG MARKETING. Requests for access or correction should be addressed to [email protected].
Withdrawal of Consent: Participants have the right to withdraw their consent for the collection, use, and processing of their personal data by MY MENANG MARKETING. However, this will affect their participation and eligibility in the contest/promotion.
Transfer of Personal Data: Personal data collected may be transferred to locations outside Malaysia for the purposes stated in this clause, including to third-party service providers located in countries with comparable data protection laws to Malaysia.
Consent: By submitting personal data through the online form, via email and/or WhatsApp, participants consent to the collection, use, and disclosure of their personal data by MY MENANG MARKETING in accordance with this PDPA clause.
